Old Business
Ruthie has been in contact with the Road Agent to schedule a time to meet with him to submit our list of dangerous trees in the cemeteries that need to be removed . He will contact her when he returns from vacation.June 26, 2023, the Cemetery Trustees met with Dustin Fortier, Fortier Welding, to discuss cemetery gate designs. He will visit the cemeteries for precise measurements and make a visual inspection of the granite blocks that the gates need to attach to. Our goal is to install gates at Knowlton-Edgerly Cemetery, Brown Cemetery and Morrill Cemetery, as funds allow from the donation from Martha Dodge Wilkerson.Don Cotnoir, NH Monuments is working on restoring gravestones at Pineground Cemetery and Knowlton-Edgerly Cemetery.
New Business
Gordon & Marion Jones have requested permission to clean gravestones at the Foster Cemetery & Perkins-Maxfield Cemetery. The Cemetery Trustees received a complaint about the mowing at Leavitt Cemetery. We contacted the resident that submitted the complaint and then requested our groundskeeper to do the necessary work. He promptly had the situation taken care of by the next morning. We corresponded with the resident that we had taken care of the concern. We completed the revision of the ‘Right to Inter’ contract, the receipt form and updated the Cemetery Trustees’ Procedure Manual.Brenda will contact a vendor for an estimate to reset the granite gate posts at Pineground Cemetery. We have placed an order for cornerstones with NH Monument.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Brenda Boswak, Cemetery Trustee Secretary
